Human beings have the ability to communicate like no animal can. Some creatures might be able to squeak, chirp and nod to get the attention of another. But they can only convey an immediate notion, such as the location of an intruder or the presence of food.

Humans, thru the invention of words can convey concepts and ideas. Ideas that can captivate minds, provide leadership, and inspire growth.

If you doubt the power of the spoken word, contemplate the frenzied fans at rock concert, a nation mobilized by a leader, an angry mob at a political rally, an attorney charming a jury, or the inspired congregation on a Sunday morning, and you will acknowledge that one person’s speech can captivate countless listeners.

At Toastmasters you will find your voice, and learn to shape it so that you can better convey your thoughts, feelings and ideas. You will be able to practice and develop an art form, which will allow you to excel at the one thing that makes us truly unique as humans.
